Strolling, hiking or climbing

Sport enthusiasts love Innsbruck, which is located in the middle of the Alps. You can reach the forest within only a few minutes of walking, or even hike up to the summit of Nordkette right from your doorstep! Patscherkofel – with beautiful hiking trails in the south of Innsbruck – is also not far away. At the end of a sunny day on the mountains, a public bus brings you right back to your doorstep!
Innsbruck is also an excellent place for climbing on via ferratas, climbing gardens or it in the climbing center, 

Sightseeing and culture

The Riedz is so centrally located that you can easily discover Innsbruck on foot. The old town with its famous Golden Roof, as well as bars, restaurants, cafés and museums are only a stone’s throw away. Shoppers will also get their money’s worth here.

Various events, as for example the beloved Heart of Noise Festival or the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music, attract a wide variety of music lovers from June to August.

Mountainbiking, cycling & downhill

If you love biking, the numerous pleasure bike paths in the area might be just the thing for you. Beginners, advanced cyclists and everyone in between will find the right trail to explore. May it be on the mountain bike with the Bike City Card or while criss-crossing Tyrol with your race bike. There are also bike related festivals happening here, like Crankworx!

Swimming & relaxing

After a lot of exercise in the sun, you will most likely feel the need to refresh and recharge. Nothing easier than that, because the Riedz has its own little oasis in the back yard. You can take a good nap underneath the walnut tree.

If you feel like a proper swim you will find Baggersee (accessible by bike) or the Lansersee (tram line 6) within vicinity.  The Achensee is a bit further away, but definitely worth a trip if you have the time!
